Canada Wins 2021 Bid for the Olympics of Magic

On July 8, 2018 in Busan, South Korea at largest magicians conference in the world, it was announced by the FISM Committee that Canada has won the international bid for 2021 for the World Championships of Magic.

FISM (Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques) was founded in 1948 and represents over 97 magicians' organizations around the world, over 70,000 members in 49 countries.  The World Championship of Magic is held every 3 years and draws over 2000 magicians from all over the world.

The effort to bring FISM to Canada would never have been possible without the foundation of the Canadian Association of Magicians established in 1997 by Joan Caesar.  Until CAM was founded, Canadian magicians were forced to compete at FISM on behalf of other countries.  Not only did the establishment of CAM put Canada on the map, but has now made history for magicians around the world.

Congratulations to all involved: RENÉE-CLAUDE AUCLAIR, PIERRE HARMON, JOAN CAESAR, JOCELYN GUERTIN

Proud to be a Canadian Magician.

The 2021 host city bid in Quebec was proudly supported by the following North American Magicians Associations
